TED was originally started by Jon in 2019, but it wasn’t anything like the TED MART LTD you know today. Tharaka started out by Mazda parts for customers in 2019, which helped fund the transition into carbon fiber customs parts. If you scroll to the very beginning of our facebook page (TED MART LTD) and Instagram page (@ted_mart_), you’ll see a few posts showing some of parts what we sold.
The business continued to grow with the long hours Tharaka put in while still working a full time 9-5 job. He would get home from work at 5:00 and immediately start knocking out orders for customers through Facebook page. This continued until 2022 when Tharaka was finally able to support himself with a full-time focus on TED MART LTD.
Fast forward to 2023 – We’ve grown to five employees, which are an essential part of the growing business. We now offer our own line of TED carbon fiber parts, as well as custom titanium parts ,Air Suspension kits and other products from top name brand companies in the industry. Our TED Carbon fiber parts are among the best selling and performing on the market today and continue to be one of our top selling products. TED has partnered with the biggest distributors and top performance brands in the country and we’re constantly adding new brands and products to our ever-expanding website as well as to Our Instagram and Facebook pages. None of this would have ever been possible if it weren’t for the support from amazing customers (specially thanks for Mr Amer Sibai who owned Glynde Garage and he was my first VIP customer and business partner now) and the initial years of nonstop grinding by Tharaka to convert his passion into a sustainable career for himself and the entire TED team.
